Which NITs participate in NIMCET?

The NIMCET 2024 entrance exam will be conducted with the participation of 11 National Institutes of Technology. These are NIT Agartala, MNNIT Allahabad, MANIT Bhopal, NIT Jamshedpur, NIT Kurukshetra, NIT Raipur, NITK Surathkal, NIT Tiruchirappalli, NIT Warangal, IIIT Bhopal and NIT Patna.

What are the eligibility criteria for NIMCET?

Candidates must hold a graduation degree, such as BCA/B.Sc (Hons)/B.Sc/ BIT, according to the 10+2+3 pattern from a recognized university. Furthermore, candidates must have had Mathematics or Statistics or a subject of similar level in their degree program.

Is there any age limit for NIMCET?

As stated in the NIMCET brochure, there is no age restriction on who can apply to NIMCET. There is no age bar to take the NIMCET exam; the candidates can apply and sit for the test if they have completed their graduation or are appearing for it in the year of examination.

What is the application fee for NIMCET?

NIMCET 2024 Registration Fee: Rs. 2500 for General/EWS/OBC candidates and Rs. 1250 for SC/ST candidates.

What is the exam pattern for NIMCET?

The NIMCET 2024 examination consists of three sections with a total of 120 objective-type questions. Part I which lasts for 70 minutes includes Mathematics with 50 questions. Part II is a 30-minute section covering Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning with 40 questions.

Is there a negative marking in NIMCET?

Yes, in the NIMCET exam, for every correct answer, candidates receive full marks, but for every wrong answer, they lose 25% of the marks allotted to that question. If a candidate selects more than one answer for a question, it will also be marked negatively.

What is the counselling process for NIMCET?

NIMCET 2024 counselling will occur in four rounds. Candidates who receive seat allotments need to log in and pay the token fee online to confirm their admission. The detailed schedule for NIMCET 2024 counselling will be provided once it's released.

Can I change my examination centre after submitting the application form?

Yes, candidates are allowed to edit their NIMCET 2024 application form before the deadline set by the authority.

What documents are required during the counselling process?

Some of the documents needed during the counselling process for NIMCET 2024 include the following. These are the NIMCET 2024 admit card and rank card, date of birth proof which may be the 10th mark sheet, and the mark sheets and passing certificates of both 10th and 12th, Caste Certificate if applicable, Category Certificate, and four passport size photographs.

Is there any reservation policy for NIMCET?

Yes, NIMCET like many other institutions of higher learning has a reservation policy to allow socially disadvantaged groups in higher education. The quotas that can be reserved in NIMCET include SC/ST/OBC and the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS). SC candidates are eligible for 15% reservation, ST candidates for 7.5%, and OBC candidates for 27%. There is a 10% reservation for candidates under the EWS category who do not come under SC/ST/OBC categories but whose family income is below a certain limit.
